SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, has been making headlines in recent months as it spreads around the world. This so-called Delta variation, also known as B.1.617.2, was detected in Australia on 04 June 2021 after being discovered in India in December 2020. The Victorian Government has advised that interpreters that visit healthcare settings are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The COVID-19 vaccines are free, safe, and voluntary – the more people who are vaccinated, the greater the protection for those vaccinated and the whole community. Vaccination clinics are available in convenient locations across Victoria. Depending on your age, you will be provided with either the AstraZeneca vaccine or the Pfizer vaccine. If you are under 50 years of age, you can receive the Pfizer vaccine by booking at a State vaccination center. If you are aged 50 years and over, you can receive the AstraZeneca.
COVID-19 News
While testing 76 thousand people yesterday at 8 PM, New South Wales recorded 98 new infection cases of COVID-19, leading them to 5th lockdown. The government suggested people stay at their house and requested them not to visit their relatives or go out to another household. They also added, “even though you may not have any symptoms but you might carry the virus, and as the health, expert says the delta strain of the virus makes you more likely to be transabled”. And the second-highest cases of transmission occurred on the workplaces and some business has been shut down to the date of July 30. So, if the cases go down within 4 or 5 days then they will not have to shut down any further.
Last night, During the Delta breakout, a woman in her 50s from southwest Sydney became the sixth person in NSW to die from COVID-19. At the property, a police operation is currently underway, with extended family members quarantining in their automobiles.
